Cocaine Smugglers!
The two brothers that were co-owners of JoJo's Tire and Service Center located in Tottenville in Staten Island,N.y were sent to jail after pleading guilty for smuggling cocaine in the auto shop in 2005. Richard Fallacaro and his brother Joseph Fallacaro had six to 15 kilograms of cocaine sent to them from California and resold it to make their own profit. When people hear about this they think negative about Tottenville because they are now starting to think,"What kind of people work and live in Tottenville." They look at these kind of situations and pass judgments and think differently about that situation. I think people should look at the negative and positive situations in a community, not just the bad.

I agree with the statement about how people only look at the bad points and never the good. A lot of people judge things over bad things they've heard just because bad news spreads faster than good news.

ReplyDelete- I agree with you because I know a lot of people that judge nieghborhoods. They can judge based on the people live there, the condition of the neighborhood, and the things that go on there. Staten Island is only like 15 miles long, filled with over 20 different neighborhoods, that people have different opinions about. Tottenville also has good things happening. Like the high school, had its first swimming team victory against curtis high school this season.
