Looking into the future
Over the next 50 years I think there will be new technology invented and it will take over our lives. Technology is already used in peoples everyday life and it will increase. There is going to be new laws passed in the next years. People are going to make a difference and help our world. Global warming is a big issue and people can try and prevent anything worse to happen. There will be new medicine created to cure the uncureable. There will be a cure for HIV/AIDS and cancer. There may be arguments between people because there will be positive and negative effects to the world in the next 50 years but I think it will all be for the better.

The One Where I Sold Raffles
When I was younger I always tried to find ways to make money. Sometimes I would sell my book on the sidewalk. Sometimes me and my friend Joelle would pick the neighbors flowers and sell them to another neighbors. However, when I was six years old I came up with my biggest money making scheme. I found a roll of raffle tickets. Me and my partner in crime Joelle went around door to door asking people if they wanted to win a television. We raised over fifty dollars. I was so excited, until I got home. My mom told me that I just committed a crime. We had to go back to every house and return the money. Now whenever I say I need money my family says,"Why dont you sell some raffles?"

Helping Out
At my school everybody takes a class called Advisory. Advisory is a class that is like your family. You stay together for all four years of high school. We get together everyday. We think of community service projects and how to earn service credits. Recently my advisor thought of helping out the Hungerford School. The children at that school are less advanced and need more help than high school kids. We decided we will meet with the Hungerford class every friday of every week for 45 minutes. During those 45 minutes we will talk to the kids, play games with them and maybe teach them something new. We will have fun , feel good and at the same time, earn community service hours.

Help Fight Animal Cruelty
Barry Delaney and Kevin Lewis are residents of Staten Island,N.y.They own a house in West Brighton and we charged for animal cruelty on October 6,2005.In their house they had nine dogs and 5 cats. All animals had ribs showing and were infested with fleas. People shouldn't be aloud to own any animals if they cant afford vet bills or animcal food. Animal cruelty happens everyday and isn't taken as seriously as it should be. Animals are living organsisms that dont deserve to be underfed. There should be a stronger law for being able to own a pet. People need to have a good income coming into their homes.
Cocaine Smugglers!
The two brothers that were co-owners of JoJo's Tire and Service Center located in Tottenville in Staten Island,N.y were sent to jail after pleading guilty for smuggling cocaine in the auto shop in 2005. Richard Fallacaro and his brother Joseph Fallacaro had six to 15 kilograms of cocaine sent to them from California and resold it to make their own profit. When people hear about this they think negative about Tottenville because they are now starting to think,"What kind of people work and live in Tottenville." They look at these kind of situations and pass judgments and think differently about that situation. I think people should look at the negative and positive situations in a community, not just the bad.
